Lebar Music School was established in 1963 by Mr. Ted Lebar. Mr. Lebar
is a respected and well-known guitar teacher, composer, arranger and performer. During
his 40 years of teaching, he has worked with students who now occupy positions of
repute at Universities and Institutions all over the world.
The school began as an Insitute for Guitar study, but over the years
has incorporated lessons in trumpet, accordion and piano with several of Mr. Lebar's
brothers joining him. In 1978 his daughter Nadia joined him at their long-standing
Kingsway location, teaching piano. In 1995, his son Andre began teaching piano at
his Mississauga location. Currently, the school offers instruction in Etobicoke and
Caledon East in:

Piano
Theory
Harmony
Composition
Sight-Reading and
Ear-Training
Teachers encourage and prepare students to take the RCM practical
and/or theory exams.
